Yes, the blender2crystal project isn't really active at the moment, and the link posted above is the current one solution for exporting from the Blender 2.5x series. This script has no support yet for animeshes however, so you still need to stick to blender2crystal and the Blender 2.4x series when you want to use them. The future of blender2crystal is unclear.
