INDUSTRY CREATIVITY RESEARCH: PARTNERS IN INNOVATION
Innovation is the eureka of discovery partnered with clever
commercialisation. It is the successful partnering of creativity and
entrepreneurship.
Partnerships between research institutions and industry are essential
to promoting a culture of innovation and to taking technology
forward.
They draw together those who produce new knowledge with those who
know
how to use it productively, both nationally and globally.
Hear about successful partnerships and ground-breaking collaborations
from some of the world's foremost innovators from a diversity of
fields
Keynote speakers include MIT's Associate Professor of Media Arts and
Sciences Hiroshi Ishii, an expert researcher in human-computer
interaction who regularly collaborates on projects that blur the
boundaries between a variety of arts, design, and scientific
disciplines. Professor Ishii is co-director of MIT Media Lab's
Things
That Think (TTT) consortium, and director of the Lab's Tangible Media
group.
Joining Dr. Ishii will be Professor Thomas Furness III, Founding
Director of the Human Interface Technology Lab (HIT Lab) at the
University of Washington. Often labelled the 'grandfather' of
virtual
reality, Dr. Furness is a pioneer in the development of interfaces
between humans and complex machines.
Technological innovations from the Human Interface Technology
Laboratory New Zealand (HIT Lab NZ) and partner universities and
companies will be showcased throughout the day.
Ensure that you don't miss this rare opportunity to interact with
premier researchers and representatives from a range of leading edge
organisations from New Zealand and around the globe.

Is there any chance you can provide a simple text message without all
the HTML and multiple gifs etc attached? I can't forward it in its
current format.
And, if you haven't already done so, feel free to use the form on the
CSI Website to post a notice of the event on the CSI Calendar:
