Hello folks,

e.g. You get five minutes to present a spiel about yourself/your company
to let others know what you do (so we can know who to recommend if asked
about particular products/services); you get to practice presentation
skills and get feedback on that area (if you want it!); we all get to know
each other better; you get to expand your tech directory listing with any
related powerpoint presentation you have as a result
Having recently bumbled my way (badly) through once such
presentation, I can recommend that people try this sort of thing out
under "friendly fire" first!

Along these lines - does anyone think that having (links to) PDFs
available on the directory listings would be useful so that
potentials clients, etc., can download flyers and other promotional
material? The material could be hosted on our individual company
websites if need be: the essence of the idea is that potentially
interested viewing have "one click" access to the material instead of
having to trawl our web sites. There are more general ways this could
be built up, eg. a list of useful links for each entry (products
page, company info page, etc.) Its a small thing I know, but it might
be useful for some of us?

As for talk topics, something along the lines of the practicalities
of e-commerce would be useful to me. How do you rig up credit card
payment /download schemes. What options are there. Who offers
out-sourced solutions and what are there pros and cons. What are the
legal/tax issues of payments from overseas. Etc, etc.
