I think that's a fine idea. It would be very easy to support an optional "link to a PDF on your home site" field, provided it is used by a significant number of members (so we get a consistency of purpose and layout across most listings). Say so if y'all want it. But even now, there's no obstacle to those extending their listings to add a sentence which includes such a link to a PDF they are hosting. (The issue with hosting YOURSELF is simply ease of maintenance -- you can change it at will without wondering whether you updated a CS-hosted copy, etc). > be built up, eg. a list of useful links for each entry (products > page, company info page, etc.) Its a small thing I know, but it might > be useful for some of us? More ideas and comments very welcome -- I'd expect the new committee are looking for great utility, just so long as new features are useful for and used by a reasonable proportion of members. > As for talk topics, something along the lines of the practicalities > of e-commerce would be useful to me. We're happy to contribute to a workshop on that; we've waded through all those areas for ourselves and clients in NZ and overseas in recent years <g>. cheers, peter =========================================== Peter Hyde, SPIS Ltd, Christchurch, New Zealand * TCompress/TCompLHA component sets for Delphi/Kylix/C++ * TurboNote+: http://TurboPress.com/tbnote.htm -- top-rated onscreen sticky notes * Web automation for online periodicals: http://TurboPress.com Find all the above and MORE at http://spis.co.nz --> via Canterbury Software email forum: Success through Connections Email your messages to [EMAIL PROTECTED] Searchable list archive: http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected] Leave or rejoin the list: http://canterburysoftware.org.nz/forum.htm
