Hi folks, Just a quick note to mention that Kim Ryan, late of MediaFX and now merged with ID, will be speaking at the CSI Collaboration Workshop on Friday, in addition to the Effusion guys mentioned previously.
Kim's had recent experience of collaborating to bid cooperatively on projects in places like far-off Wellington (and been successfully working alongside other folk), and will talk about pitching for jobs with other businesses. (And, according to Kim, she'll provide some war stories that will be good for a laugh as well as learning :-) Collaboration amongst Canterbury Software members is one way to increase business pull, with cross referrals and the ability to work on larger projects. We're going to be looking at identifying situations where working with others will be of benefit, learn how to work with others in putting together a tender and get some guidance on what to do (and what not to do) when workingon particular projects. What makes collaborations successful or not -- come along and find out from those who've learnt the hard way!
