Maybe somebody else showed up to do your job better without throwing ads in the faces of people who just want to play a game.

How is your opinion regarding ads relevant to the problem? If you have 350$ monthly to spend on servers for other people to enjoy, then you’re lucky!

Players did not decide to disappear from one day to the other just because of ads!

Here is a screenshot that shows pretty well what I am saying:

Oh man there is probably a *super clear reason* why people don't want to be on your servers.

    Mr. Loveless is somehow correct.

I indeed run motdgd on my servers, but that's for a legit reason,
I have to pay more than 350$ monthly in server fees and I'm just a
    simple student.
I would never have enough money to even pay one server without the
    aid of the ads.

Besides, I host gameservers since 2008 and run ads since 2011/2012
(I think i was one of the first to begin with this technique) and
players have always learned to accept the fact that for such a
great service they had to either donate to support or accept the
    adverts.

Now, regarding my current situation on CSGO, i do not run adverts
every 5 minutes that scare people away, I care about my players
and my community and always tried to match their needs.
This change of traffic has happened during this past week, and i
really doubt that all of a sudden every player decided my
community is pure evil and must be avoided. So I wonder why and
that's why I'm here seeking help from people that like me, enjoy
serving csgo with some different content.

PS: I'm well aware of that, i do not run these kind of plugins on
my servers and enforce such rule on my clients too.

    Best regards,
    Niko

If Mr. Loveless is correct, the sort of adverts you are/were
running do scare away people very easily, and can be very
detrimental to your server traffic. People get bothered by
adverts very easily, and it's incredibly simple for them to
see your server name and say "No, I dont want to go back on
that server, it makes my ears bleed from adverts every 5
        minutes".

That being said, there might be a legitimate issue with your
traffic, but the adverts may impact your server traffic more
        than you may think.

P.S. You should remove the knife and ws plugins before *all*
your servers get blacklisted for *3 months*.
