The WFSGI and the Bluetooth Special Interest Group (SIG) are pleased to announce the start of the world's first Bluetooth Innovation World Cup. They are calling on developers and students to submit their concepts primarily for sports, fitness and health care products that leverage the unique capabilities of the coming Bluetooth low energy wireless technology specification for consideration. Innovators from all over the world are invited to submit their concepts through the online database.Concepts will be evaluated based on criteria available at the competition web site. The four finalists will be showcased as part of the Wearable Technologies show at ispo winter in February 2010 in Munich, Germany. The Innovator of the Year will receive a prize of 5,000 Euro and development support to bring his product idea to market.Through the Bluetooth Innovation World Cup, the Bluetooth SIG is fostering the imagination and creativity of developers seeking to create innovative new devices and to enhance existing Bluetooth applications in many areas such as the sports, fitness and health care markets.
