Key Dates: Last date to apply: March 15, 2010 Selected candidates will be announced by: March 31, 2010 Internship begins: May 15, 2010 Eligibility Second year and third year B.E./B.Tech students in India, who have secured at least 70 percent or an equivalent grade in their B.E./B.Tech program so far. The Department of Computer Science and Automation (CSA), Indian Institute of Science, announces the UGC (University Grants Commission) Summer Internship Programme. The Department is currently a UGC Centre for Advanced Study and the Summer Internship Programme is generously sponsored by the UGC. Eligibility: The summer internship is open to bright and motivated second year and third year B.E./B.Tech students in India, who have secured at least 70 percent or an equivalent grade in their B.E./B.Tech program so far. Duration: The internship program will be for two months, strictly during the period May 15, 2010 July 15, 2010. Stipend : The interns will be provided a fellowship amount of Rs. 3000 per month and some contingency amount for academic expenses. Students desirous of applying for the internship must apply between March 1, 2010 and March 15, 2010 using the web-based application process. A recommendation letter from the Head of the Department or the Principal or a senior faculty member from your department is mandatory (this will be through email or a web-based form). The web-based application form will necessarily include a one page proposal from you on what you would like to work on during the summer internship. Please go through the CSA webpage thoroughly before completing your web-based application form. Only selected candidates will be intimated of their selection by March 31, 2010.
