Thanks much to Bruno -- this is now working. He pointed out that I need to specify *both* the height and width of the images so the browser can figure out where to put the text. I think I fell victim to my quest to keep presentation separate from content (that and a case of non-functional brain cells) -- I specified height and width both in the html and now the footer is staying where it belongs. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Stephanie Bridges Economics Department -- Iowa State University 80B Heady Hall, Ames, IA 50011 ph: 515.294.8732 ~~ fax: 515.294.0221 [EMAIL PROTECTED] ______________________________________________________________________ css-discuss [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://www.css-discuss.org/mailman/listinfo/css-d List wiki/FAQ -- http://css-discuss.incutio.com/ Supported by evolt.org -- http://www.evolt.org/help_support_evolt/
