This test page is a spin-off:
http://www.satzansatz.de/cssd/tmp/geckooverflow.html
Zoom the text size.
---------
FF < = 1.04: (XPSP2, rv:1.7.8 Gecko/20050511 )
there is the overflow flicker when you zoom the text size.
---------
FF nightly / Deer Park alpha (XPSP2, rv:1.8b2 Gecko/20050617 )
Screenshot included.
No flicker.
See the broken text line box of the negative margined float (white).
The adjactent overflowed (orange) box has a fractional vertical offset.
I think they have fixed some rounding errors on em-sized/fractional
offset elements in the recent nightlies, but the fix itself seems to
interfere with the overflowed area.
Don't know if there is a fix. Play with the em-sizes of the elements, so
that the rounding error fix doesn't come into play, but this is a flaw hope.
FF, FF nightly Mac/Lin checks please.
Thanks.
Ingo
