I am having a problem in IE6 on XP with a 3 column layout. The left column contains thumbnail images, and sometimes it shows up under the text in the center column, and sometimes it shows properly in the left column. I can keep clicking on the page refresh and it will move back and forth.

I don't see this happening either (IE6, XP, SP2). If you are still seeing it, is there anything else you can tell us about your setup? What size window are you running at? What text size are you using? Etc.

Jimmy,
Couldn't reproduce it on my dsl connection.

But when I rapidly hit the refresh button before all the thumbnails are loaded, again and again, in the end, the thumbnails overlap the middle column.

I once saw a similar problem in a thread started by Michael Wilson
http://archivist.incutio.com/viewlist/css-discuss/57494

and the suggestion was to shorten the alt text -- and it worked, unbelievely. I never got an information from others if the fix itself was reproduceable or phastasmal.

I noted that your alt texts are long, you might help us to find a solution for similar cases: delete all the alt in your file to "", give it a try (with cleared cache of course), and if it worked for you (I might be totally wrong), provide an URL of the fixed version _and_ another URL to the buggy version, so we get ever a chance to verify the fix.

Ingo
