The wrapper div around the image sounds like a nice idea. But imgs are just one example of non-breaking content. I'll consider all of those options, but I will still search for a 3 col layout that does have its center col expand under these conditions. If anyone knows of one, please let me know. the site is CMS-driven, so i dont have control of the content.
