I did not see any particular problem with either page.
Some overall observations:
1/ adding font-size: 100%; will fix the the fonts going goofy in IE on 
zoom(the IE bug Georg Sortun mentioned.).
2/ you have 9 or 10 CSS errors that need attention.
3/ the pages are drawing an unnecessary h-scrollbar at 800
4/ the left side of the navigation link text are clipped in FF making 
them somewhat unusable.
5/ all text shoots out the bottom of the container on font-zoom(not 
declaring a height on the container will help).
The use of absolute positioning and setting heights on containers 
plagues every site of  yours that I have ever seen on this list. Float 
layouts and letting content flow without vertical restriction is a much 
more user friendly method of coping with the fluidity of the Web.
6/ I viewed this page <http://www.aave.info/Paperdesk/seminars.html> 
three time before realizing that it was not necessary to use the back 
button(missing navigation).
