Yeah, a while ago, I had noticed that toooooo... :-(
Consider it a bug.

Opera 9 alpha OS X:
*~html - target IE 7 and Opera 9.10 and 9.24 fails (red background)
all others work as expected (greenish background, specific style  
ignored).
