I believe that using a WYSIWY(M)G editor before learning how to hand code is like learning to use a calculator before learning arithmetic. I like to use Dreamweaver for its site organization tools and its source formatting, as this helps to streamline my workflow. There are other tools I like as well for this purpose, and I have made it my business to become familiar with all of them so that I can adapt to any particular company's preferred editing environment.
That being said, I never leave home without Firefox with the Web Developer and Firebug extensions. This trio has been my main development tool of choice for quite some time. When asked during a job interview, I always say that this is what I use primarily to edit for the front end. All in all, it should be your knowledge, ability, and talent that get you a job, and your personal editing environment preference should be secondary to that. ______________________________________________________________________ css-discuss [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://www.css-discuss.org/mailman/listinfo/css-d List wiki/FAQ -- http://css-discuss.incutio.com/ List policies -- http://css-discuss.org/policies.html Supported by evolt.org -- http://www.evolt.org/help_support_evolt/
