Ok this is off-topic and I attract the wrath of the Meyer with this one again but sentences like these want my quit my job and become a goat-herder. Probably you didn't mean this in a wrong manner but things like that get quoted and people follow advice like this. I don't know anybody who is willingly a keyboard user - this is nothing you choose. Alt is not extra usability but mandatory - even to create valid HTML.
