It looks fine for me in Safari 4.0.2

IE6 menu items look fine. Get rid of the crack by setting the image to  
be display: block. That way it won't leave room below for text  
descenders (bottom of 'g', 'p' etc.)

#menubar-m img { display: block; }

General advice: Always validate first. Browsers are much more  
consistent when presented with valid code.
