I think you meant to send this to the list instead of just me. I guess the exact problem, and the reason for it happening, has something to do with the direction of the prevailing wind :-) : or, as Alan put it "IE7 is using the dynamic pseudo class but very mysteriously." The best solution is whatever works for your particular scenario. The fix(es) work. Read the article again. And try. If you are not able to resolve the problem after trying, post to the list again.
