Are there simulators out there that are more reliable in showing what
shows up on the various devices?
The OperaMini "simulator" is quite good.

shrinking the window down in Safari 5.0.2 seems to get the small_devices
style sheet going, but not in Opera 6.0.3
Simulators are handy but they really do
not offer direct user experience with functionality, usability, and
readability
really true. I thought everything was fine 'til a friend with an iphone
checked it out and let me know about the tiny text.
