In working with my nav menu, one issue I'm having is getting the linked in icon 
to line up vertically centered with the menu type. without the icon, the menu 
type is vertically centered, as it should be; adding the icon pushes down the 
type, while the icon is flush to the top of parent.

any clues about this?
