Not if the h1-wrapped element is a graphic whose only text opportunity is the 
alt tag.  if that logo were live type, then yes.

heard someone more experienced than me saying “ALWAYS put a logo inside of an 
h1”

As you say, this is HTML, yet, there is an area where CSS and HTML overlap. I 
respect the difference, and the common ground. 

The common ground is where the markup in a sense informs what the best styling 
might be for that item?

I have to admit a certain laze where I don’t want to keep track of the math; my 
overall padding/margin is 1.25em, which is why I need it to be the same 
computed value throughout.

Thank you all for responding..this has been an important learning opp for me 
and an occasion to reflect on the implications of how I’ve built this item.
