My initial reaction was that having to resort to JS in order to
achieve the desired result was asking a lot especially since there is
an HTML element (i.e., <table>) that handles the problem quite nicely
out of the box. However, I still feel that I am painting myself into
a corner by continuing to structure layouts using tables.
Accordingly, I am prompted to ask the question: What would this JS
code look like? Can you point me to some sample code? Maybe it's
fairly simple and something with which I could live.
Thanks.
