Last time I looked you only put words in a search engine, there is not much
else to it.
I think the comparison you are trying to draw is more akin to the advice
offered in pragmatic programmer :

*Use a Single Editor Well
**     The editor should be an extension of your hand; make sure your editor
is configurable, extensible, and programmable.*
