The purpose of the stipend is to encourage membership and participation in the Texas Library Association (TLA) and ATRT by providing funds to offset the costs of membership dues, and Conference and Assembly attendance. Normally, this stipend is awarded in the fall. However, this year a decision has been made to extend the deadlines into February. Please note these new dates: Feb 14, 2003 - Letter of recommendation from immediate supervisor must be sent by postal mail or email Feb 21, 2003 - Application deadline The final decision will be made by March 1, 2003.
