Note: in this case, they're defining central Texas as what's in Bastrop, Caldwell, Hays, Travis, and Williamson counties. Have you heard about this? Found it on a community blog... <http://envisioncentraltexas.org/> Envision Central Texas is a non-profit organization composed of a diverse group of citizens, including neighborhood, environmental, business leaders and policy makers, who share the common goal of addressing growth sensibly with the interests of the region's citizens in mind. It's seeking input on growth-related issues in Central Texas (Bastrop, Caldwell, Hays, Travis, and Williamson counties) in order to help create a "Vision Progress Assessment" report to be completed in May of 2008. The survey asks which issues are important to you, how the region has changed in the last five years and what you think the priorities are today. <http://www.surveymonkey.com/s.aspx?sm=4fT0W_2bV6NpQogWO6MsyOaQ_3d_3d> Click here to take the survey.
In the next few weeks, Envision Central Texas will also be holding public meetings to discuss regional growth over the last five years and plans for the future. <http://envisioncentraltexas.org/resources/resources_232_RGMflyer.pdf> Click here for more info.
