Resumes are to get the job interview. Come to a Texas State Library
sponsored webinar to learn tips to get resumes updated for print and
online submissions, key components of the resume and learn if cover
letters are still necessary. Learn the difference between a
chronological and functional resume and when to use each type. Also
covered will be common questions job seekers have for their resumes and
where to find more resources to assist them.

Carolyn Davidson Brewer is the Assistant Director of the North Texas
Library Partners, home of the North Texas Regional Library System. She
has been a librarian for over 12 years and has also worked as a social
worker assisting with Texas Workforce Solutions/TWC. In preparation
for these classes, Carolyn interviewed over 10 HR departments and
managers for ideas and tips. She is currently offering this class and
others through Texas Workskills Development for Libraries in the north
Texas area.

The Texas Workskills Development in Libraries project, better known as
TWDL (pronounced 'Twiddle'), was created to help Texas residents obtain
information and learn better ways to look for a job as well providing
ways to improve their job skills. The project supports Texas library
staff, management and volunteers in gathering 21st Century job training
resources that can be easily accessed and offered to all Texans. Please
check the webpage for a schedule of classes and other resources to
assist job seekers: http://twdl.org <http://twdl.org/> .
