Subject: Re: [cia-drugs] Re: EURO/MILITARY INDUSTRIAL COMPLEX

Blair is firmly in the Anglo-American camp as is Chancellor Brown and others
of the Labour Party.  That is why the former Conservative Leader and Prime
Minister, Margaret Thatchler, once referred to Blair as a patriot (or used a
very similar term of endearment) and it is also certainly why Blair openly
regarded Thatchler as a role model.  Blair is not pro-Euro.

It must be obvious that the UK is politically split as it has not been in
decades over Europe.  This split led to the end of John Major, for example.
Those in the "No" campaign (i.e., no to the introduction of the Euro in the
UK as the legal currency) are composed of powerful bankers and friends, who
historically have in the the Anglo-American  camp.  For example, Stani
Yassukovich, chairman of EASDAQ, the European version of NASDAQ, is
outspoken in his objections to the Euro.  Yassukovich is the former Deputy
Chairman of the London Stock Exchange and former Chairman of Merrill Lynch
Europe.  Less welll known is the fact that he was a senior executive of
White Weld & Co., London during the early 1970's.

One of the more intriguing facts about White Weld (thanks to Linda Minor for
this snippet) is that it purchased, in 1974, the Wall Street firm of G W
Walker & Co.   G W Walker became a director of White Weld as a result.
Moreover, G W Walker is, of course, the favourite uncle of George Bush
senior.  Meanwhile, the "Weld" of White Weld relates to the family of the
former Attorney General William Weld who long-time members of this list will
recall was behind the suppression of important information regarding the
IranContra drug business.

Not least, at the same time that Stani Yassukovich was at White Weld,
another senior executive wasa there also.  This was David Mulford, who later
became something important in the US Treasury (possibly Deputy Secretary -
again I can't remember off hand).  In 1973/4 period the world experienced
the first of several "oil shocks" leading to the dramatic increase of the
oil price - events which we now know were orchestrated by Kissinger and the
US.  During his sojourn in White Weld & Co., London, Mulford became the
point man in SAMA - the Saudi Arabian Monetary Authority - and was
absolutely key to ensuring that the huge pool of Petrodollars were brought
back to London, thus firmly establishing the Eurodollar Bond market, which
in itself amounted to the great achievement of US based bankers led by
Walter Wriston at Citibank, to have a pool of unregulated offshore dollars
at their disposal.  Vast amountys of these dollars were soon being spoon-fed
to Third World nations that couldn't afford to repay them.  This, in turn,
resulted in the Third World debit crisis of the 1980's.

Stani Yassukovich left White Weld to become - as I recall - the chairman of
Western American Bank and later became the chair of European American Bank
(this again is subject to my degrading memory).  EAB came to fame as the
bank that "rescued" Franklin National Bank from the clutches of Italian
Mafia banker, Michell Sindona.

Another senior executive present at White Weld & Co., at the same time as
Stani Yassukovich and Davil Mulford was Oliver Fox-Pitt (whom I once
accidentally and sleepily called Mr. "Fix-Pott" to his face - causing a look
of total astonishment).  He left around the same time and founded the now
well known Wall Street brokerage of Fox-Pitt Kelton.  Another was a younf CD
trader, David Potter, who went on to become Chairman of the merchant bank,
Samuel Montagu, and later a very senior executive of Midland Bank, who owned
Montagu's.

The fact is that White Weld & Co., London was then a boiling pot of
Anglo-American interests that is now known to the world as Credit Suisse
First Boston (CSFB).

I strongly suspect that if one were to individually analyse most of those
involved in the anti Euro "NO" campaign, similar power lines would be
revealed.  These are the sort of elite people who form part of the
"Atlanticist" Bilderberg Group as well as the Trilateral Commission.

My own view of the Hegelian dialectic is that it is an instrument to be used
and can, therefore, be used by opposing groups of interest.  Prior to the
end of the cold war all elite interests were agreed in their pursuit of the
downfall of Russia.  That was the over-riding concern as all were threatened
by it.  Since then this unity of cohesion has fractured as a result of self
interest.

In regard to Russia it is pretty clear that Putin has allied himself with
the European agenda. The abundance of greed and cynical deabuchery imposed
on Russia by the US following its collapse as the second world power was
sure to have a raction, and this is it.  Treat the defeated with a modicum
of respect and you'll make enduring friendships.  Grind their balls into the
dirt and you get what you deserve.

I also believe that Iraq has been made the target of choice is simply
because it began selling its oil back in 1991 for Euro's and not dollars.
It was rumoured that this might have led to more OPEC members changing to
Euro's for their oil exports.  Although the dollar is presently backed by
the credit and good standing of the United States, it is fundamentally a
currency backed by oil.

Consequently, Iraq had to be made a lesson of.  Doing so would not just
deter other OPEC members from jumping off the dollar bandwagon on to the
Euro roundabout, but - as we can now see - also forms part of a "who rules"
strategy for the coming century.
