So far, no one has rebutted any of the substantive material that shows that "Plane Site" is not a genuine effort -- http://www.oilempire.us/bogus.htmlSeveral people have complained that I accused the film of being cointelpro (although none of those who were upset by this addressed the fact that much of the film is erroneous). I've changed the prose to be more equivocal about this (although if it is not cointelpro, then it is one of the slickest pieces of incompetence ever made). It's hard to believe that it is sheer coincidence that the same picture of a 757 on the cover of "planesite" is the exact same picture that Cristian Fleming (in New York) posted to the 9/11 Truth Alliance list in May to debunk the fake claim of "pod planes." It seems to be yet another bad joke aimed at the 9/11 movement.It would be interesting to know who decided that the ostensible maker of this fake film should grace the stage with his insightful commentaries about pods and missiles and similar stuff -- I hope it wasn't made democratically (because it is unlikely that there's a majority in favor of "planesite" in any truth group). Those organizing the event can promise that he will stick to less controversial topics, but this is about as likely as inviting a Klansman to an event in Harlem with the promise that he'll only talk about water pollution problems in the Hudson river. Why give Mr. Von Kleist undeserved legitimacy? Why give Chip Berlet, FAIR, David Corn, et al this present for attacking the concepts behind 9/11 "truth?"
