declared that "God is dead." But the late Blind Willie Johnson
begged to differ. (And at this point it's obvious that it's
Nietzche who is dead.) In a classic blues song, "God Don't Never
Change," Johnson philosophized as follows:
God,
God don't never change.
He's God.
Always will be God.
God in the middle of the ocean,
God in the middle of the sea,
By the help of the great creator,
Truly been a god to me.

God when Adam fell,
