Our Canadian source also says the scandal is being effectively censored from mainstream news outlets here in the U.S. And that seems beyond dispute: Have *you* heard much of anything about the Canadian Tainted Blood Scandal? What seems to have happened was that, in the 1980s, blood was collected from high-risk donors in prisons in Arkansas and Louisiana. Since many prisoners have histories of needle-drug abuse; since homosexual anal rapes and "consensual" male-to-male sex are routine in U.S. prisons; both factors lead to prison blood donors being less than ideal candidates for donating blood.
