-Caveat Lector-

The geological near-miracle of fossilization is a very
rare occurence in itself, it hardly ever happens, and it is
just a measure of the true age of the Earth, that has become
so littered with fossils over the eons that we cannot even
sort them out.
After death a vast percentage, a majority percentage,
of the bio-material left by Life simply turns to humous.
Thats the usual rotting process. There are campfires of man
here in Florida that are only 8-10 thousand years old but
posess NO bio effluvia whatsoever, except charcoal to show
there was a fire, and of course the stone tools and weapons
that are relatively indelible. Most skeletons and all flesh
go back to the dirt soup. Ah tis a thin and grimy layer we
inhabit....ALL fossils are extremely rare.
Durable fossilization occurs by replacement of organic
cell structures with silica usually. Silica in solution,
enough to precipitate crystallization, is a backwater
happenstance. I'm saying the conditions by which fossils
form are always very special. I am familiar with The Tampa
Formation, a fossil reef from 20 (or so) million years
ago...a pup. Still, the agate geodes are awesome and when
you see the God that lives throughout the whole universe,
THE WHOLE UNIVERSE, where things like that happen as
BYPRODUCTS, it is a humbling thing. Way better than the
tripe thats been pedaled for our time here so far. People
that can't feel that have been robbed of their most precious
asset, and will be back here quick, believe me, because they
are on a long unlit journey to their nirvana, and have some
ways to go. Light Does Happen though. Good Luck.
Of course the fossil record is going to seem incomplete
to beings that cannot get their noses out of their belly
buttons long enough to realize their lifespans are mere
micromicromicroseconds against the backdrop of true
infinity. Be The Earth. It Is You.
Darwins strength is that he unified something, a feat
that even Einstein couldn't duplicate in physics, and of
course that unification of Charles Darwins has had far
reaching effects here at humanity.
Fungus spores migrate out of the atmosphere and are
blown off by the solar winds. Their coverings are the
hardest known biological material in this world. It is
supposed they can even withstand the rigors of space. They
are network travelers.
With that basic code the dirt grows from mushrooms to
this in a half billion years or so...pretty quick. And its
EVERYWHERE. It IS Alive. And it Builds.
Light reacts photochemically with matter. There is a
vast and hardly understood order inherent in this.
Many fossils are totally, totally, inaccessible.
     Most biomaterial Did Not Fossilize.
A lot that did fossilize fell prey to erosion. Oh Well.
