Joshua2: OK, you're on!

I'm sure you'll agree that when the Dalai Lama succeeeds the Pope most X'tians would have gone beyond their prejudices about the Buddhist World. Maybe not in this civilization ... but that shouldn't stop us as individuals from seeing Life on Planet Earth from a more detached place in Space/Time.

You and I are both using a medium -- Internet -- through which we can communicate in a way that has never been available to humans in recorded history. Despite all the fanaticism and sheer gangsterism creating havoc on this Planet, the Internet has the potential to create a level of awareness which truly brings us closer to Marshall McLuhan's Global Village.

Conspiracy Research (however eccentric it may sound sometimes) plays a vital part in building that awareness; eg. Linda Minor's recent contributions re. the CFR/RIIA (and don't forget the Trilateral Commission) concern private, unelected organizations against which ordinary folk have no protection even if more of us knew just how much they paralyze and poison the democratic process, turning it into a weapon against humanity and the Planet's biosystems.

Speaking of weapons, I don't think anyone on this List is speaking about converting Jews to Christianity. So why get so upset at someone's speculations about a former Orthodox Rabbi's reported statements? Challenge it if you wish but why with so much aggression and sectarianism?

I recently attended a meeting at a local Jewish synagogue where the subject of debate concerned the possibility of reconciliation between Jews and Christians. Reconciliation and forgiveness doesn't seem a bad idea whatever our faiths -- after all, we're stuck on the same Planet for at least one lifetime!

... Besides which, as long as humans use religion (or whatever else rationale) to shout at or kill each other we're always going to be prey to gangster-oriented politicians and their paymasters who surreptitiously manipulate events and re-process 'the real world', through their strangle-hold on the media, to suit their own interests.
