More like a shared monopoly or oligopoly, to match the oligarchy that pulls
the political strings. At the turn of the 21st century, we seem to have come
full circle, back to the era of the Trusts and Robber Barons. The last 20
years have seen a concerted effort, led by the Republican Party but with the
active connivance of the Democrats, to repeal the last century, to roll back
all economic restrictions and all regulation of business, while at the same
time narrowing the scope of individual civil liberties in the name of Free
Trade and the Market... Theodore Roosevelt must be spinning in his grave.
