End of the Year Notices and Y2K Musings Due to an ongoing shortage of funds and less than expected revenue from our recently installed online bookstore with credit card acceptance, which few Hoffman Wire recipients have patronized, I�must announce that for the foreseeable future, these Hoffman Wires shall be few and far between. If you do not receive one for quite a while it does mean we have gone "off the air," but rather that I have had to scramble for funds by contracting for other work having nothing to do with revisionism. Next, several people too parsimonious to subscribe to my hardcopy REVISIONIST HISTORY (RH) newsletter or purchase my audio-cassette tapes, have solicited my views on "the forthcoming end of civilization as we know it due to Y2K." I have dealt with this topic extensively in past issues of RH and on my cassette tapes and I will not reprint articles we have published or transcripts I have broadcast for the benefit of paying subscribers and supporters, in this free forum. If that runs counter to the parasitic freebie mentality prevalent on the Internet, tough. The blown transmission on our ancient company car, the rotting teeth in my head and the bad health I experience from malnutrition, runs counter to the lifestyle of any leading establishment journalist working for Jewish interests, but such is the plight of a leading revisionist journalist working for the truth, that "our side" with its numerous wealthy individuals, doesn't care enough even to keep me out of penury. In which case I can only say, share the pain, baby. For the benefit of basic information dissemination, which these Hoffman Wire bulletins represent, I will say that Y2K panic was seeded by our enemies, partly to induce a fearful, paralyzing, bunker mentality. Gary North, Don McAlvany, Tim LaHaye and various other Christian and right wing mountebanks are now, at this late hour, issuing damage control statements which directly or indirectly modify or even retract their previously spouted Y2K nonsense. Many of these fellows have made millions selling overpriced "survival kits" and manuals to panic-stricken right wingers and credulous Christians who fall for every doom and rapture hoax to come down the pike. Now these con-men are bailing out at the last minute in order to rescue their credibility in time for their next highly profitable hoax. Many contemporary right wingers and fundamentalist Christians have a psychological need to avoid practical, long haul work in political, cultural and revisionist campaigns and will continue to bankroll incompetents and frauds even after their false prophecies are exposed. Y2K apocalypse will fizzle in the US, unless Bill Clinton and Co. can get the people to panic and cause breakdowns by that means. I don't doubt that there could be a few Y2K glitches in America amounting to some inconvenience, but without sabotage or widespread panic, Y2K, in the US anyway, will be a minor blip on the screen beginning Jan. 1. Y2K will hit the Third World, China, Russia and parts of Europe harder and this may push the US into a recession, due to problems with overseas markets, but that's hardly "the end of civilization as we know it." Hundreds of millions of dollars were squandered on Y2K chicken little books, videos, supplies and "manuals" that could have gone to fund hard-headed, practical shoe-leather organizations combating our enemies at every level. Furthermore, how perverse that so-called Christians have been stampeded into greeting the Third Millennium of Christ's incarnation while soiling their pants in anxiety. The Talmudists are surely savoring that disgraceful spectacle. ------------------------------------- 2. Fun with Time Magazine I get interview requests from the major media about every other week. Some I ignore, others I grant, but almost all of them are distinguished by the fact that they are virtually never broadcast or published, though the media person almost always assures me that they will see print or gain air time. I tend to think that my interviews are suppressed because I turn the tables on the interviewers and fail to fit their caricatured expectations. By defying those expectations I overturn the conditioning of the masses to think in a pre-determined way, which is the main object of the media. Last month, Time magazine contacted me for a comment on the latest "debunking" of the infamous "Protocols of the Learned Elders of Zion." After I proffered my remarks, the Time reporter called them "well-argued, intelligent..useful and incisive...I will endeavor to include a quote from you...the piece is due out in our European edition on Monday, Dec. 6..." Well, here it is Tuesday, December 28 and Time has passed me by. So, for your amusement and edification here is a little example of how to turn the tables on the media jackals. TIME MAGAZINE Paris Mr. Hoffman, I am a correspondent for Time Magazine's Paris bureau, and currently writing an article about the recent finding by Russian historian Mikhail Lepekhin that definitively identifies the author of The Protocols of The Elders of Zion as Mathieu Golovinski--a pre-revolutionary aristocrat and reactionary, who worked for the Tsarist secret police, the Okhrana. While the Okhrana's participation in manipulating a previously-existing anti-Bonapartist text into what became known as The Protocols had been known for decades, the documentary evidence identifying of Golovinski as the "author" has not only allowed historians to complete the entire Protocol puzzle, but also explain why it took so long to figure out who exactly had been commissioned to execute the work: due to an irony of fate, Golovinsky resurfaced in post-revolutionary Petrograd, and steadily rose through the ranks of Soviet aparatchiks to become one of its early bureaucratic heroes. Due to this,the USSR preferred to keep evidence linking Golovinski to this century's most potent anti-Semitic document secret--a secret that only gave way when Soviet archives were thrown open with the fall of communism. My article will endeavor to note this relatively recent finding, and explain to readers what it means to the larger history of The Protocols of the Elders of Zion (ie. in as much as one page will allow, I'll describe the background against which the book was created, then its relationship to nationalist, anti-internationalist, as well as fascist groups of this century). The reason I am contacting you regarding this is that in consulting your website, I've come to understand that--Protocols or no Protocols--you are of the firm conviction there is a Jewish plan (or failing that, a collective movement) to dominate the non-Jewish world and its population, and that both recent and distant events and statements provide evidence to that. What I'd be interested in knowing--and including as a quote if that would be amenable to you--is your brief reaction to the "unmasking" of Golovinski, and the general view of mainstream historians that it debunks beyond any doubt The Protocols as a fraud and dark fantasy. Do you believe that? Would such evidence suffice as proof to you that there is no such Jewish conspiracy? Or do you--as some, including Henry Ford as far back as 1921--believe that events over time have proven the major threats voiced in The Protocols to be true, even if the predictions in the book itself were not spoken by Jewish leaders (ie. independent of who wrote the book, its forecasts have largely come true). In other words, how would this recent historical finding impact your reading of The Protocols, and more importantly, your views on Jews and their ideals and actions in the world today. As you may well imagine, I do not share views that there is a Jewish conspiracy, nor believe there is any essential difference between Jews and other peoples apart from religious conviction and ritual. The article, then, will report on the recent historical discovery as a further set back to conspiracy theories and convictions. That said, it's also only fair to note that other views exist, and may continue to exist in refusing the credibility of mainstream historians, and/or in arguing that The Protocols do not alter independent convictions that may happen to be reflected in the book. I have never made the "Protocols of the Learned Elders of Zion" the central pillar of my conspiracy research and I know of no other revisionist who has done so. I have however been long intrigued by Protocol 9, which states: "Anti-semitism is the means by which we control our lesser brethren." That is an acute observation regarding who it is that is often behind anti-Jewish terrorism, cemetery vandalism and synagogue graffiti. Knowledge of this "Purimspiel" function within Judaism itself is quite recondite and demonstrates a high level of insight, whether from a Jewish or a Gentile author. I think your approach toward the conspiracy issue is hackneyed. Matters have progressed beyond the days of Henry Ford in demonstrating the reality of a Jewish combination and a Jewish penchant for domination and control. We have Jewish persons themselves boasting of their enormous influence on Hollywood and the corporate media and in particular we have the masterworks of such Jewish academics as Israel Shahak and Norton Mezvinsky who document the institutionalized racist contempt which orthodox Judaism harbors toward Gentiles, as well as the historic dogmas it imparts concerning the proper Jewish dominion over those sub-human "shells," otherwise known as the goyim. So on a certain level it is clever to peg your examination of the arguments pro and contra a Jewish conspiracy on a century old screed and the tragic figure of Henry Ford and similar Depression-era relics. But I think you are not clever enough by half. At this late date a substantial segment of your audience will wonder why you don't take on recent literature that is far more formidable. Frankly you cannot, since to do so would have you butting heads with the great scholars of our time whose credentials are impeccable and whose inside knowledge cannot easily be twisted into a schema of "Henry Ford-is-the-godfather-of-the skinheads-and-other-ignorant-haters-who uphold-the-Protocols." Aiming your analytical guns at Shahak, Chomsky, William N. Grimstad and others of their calibre would cause you to flounder quickly because your reliance on shopworn stereotypes and faulty presumptions would not carry you far in their bailiwick. By all means investigate the origins of the Protocols and attempt to document your findings. I'm all for scholarly sleuthing and debate, here, as in all areas of human inquiry. But don't extrapolate from your findings a grandiose notion that you have thereby proved that Israeli agents of influence are not the masters of US foreign policy in 1999, or that the hundreds of obsequiously pro-Jewish Hollywood films and TV sitcoms produced in the past few decades are somehow a coincidence. How long do you think the kind of carpet-bombing we are passively observing in Chechnya courtesy of the Russians would transpire if the target was Tel Aviv? Half a day? Half an hour? "Jews" who adhere to orthodox Judaism are very different from the rest of us since their Talmudic and Kabbalistic holy books decree that they are the Master Race. If Herrenvolk ideas were a problem when Germans held them, does it not follow we should be a tad bit concerned when the nuclear-armed Israeli state embodies them? Finally, how on earth is debunking the Protocols (assuming your authorities really have accomplished that feat) a "set-back to conspiracy theories..."? The most virulent conspiracy theory that has mass cachet these days is the "dark fantasy" that decrees that from 1933 to 1945 the entire German nation was involved in a vast and nefarious conspiracy against every Jewish person in Europe. Or how about the one peddled by our First Lady which retails the notion of a "vast right wing conspiracy" to derail her serial molester husband's presidency? Your focus solely on the puny conspiracy theories of the right, while oblivious to those emanating from far more powerful and popular Zionist and Democratic Party sources, reveals the partisan bias of your whole mission.
