Nope. The accepted theory is that they wandered south along the
shoreline of the western Arabian peninsula...the heat during the
day results in a fair amount of moisture being absorbed into the
air, resulting in that moisture precipitating out as dew being
deposited in the night (which can be pretty cold in the desert)...
