Operation "Paperclip" - also funelled top Nazi scientists into the service
of the US - and many Nazis found new employ in US Intelligence.
As part of the campaign for the Plebiscite on the Saar region in 1935,
Goebbels ministry set up a religious intelligence organisation in Geneva. It
was called "Pro Deo", and was used to bombard German clergy with propaganda
about the Jews and Bolshevics. In later years the HQ was transfered to
Portugal and During WW2 from Portugal to New York, by a certain Bill
Donovan, ably assisted by Allen Dulles (a senior SOE operative in Europe
during WW2). "Pro Deo" was, and continues to be operated by Roman Catholic
priests and is known these days as the "Vatican Intelligence Agency".
When Mussolini was sacked by his own Fascist council, and German Forces
occupied Rome, certain German Officers suggested at a Nazi cabinet meeting
that the "Vatican should be smoked out". Goebbels, Himmler and Hitler were
immediately horrified by the idea - there was within the Nazi elite an
extreme reverence for the Pope.
In 1921 the greatest fear of Great Britain and the US was Bolshevism, a fear
shared by the Vatican (instrumental in granting to Hitler his enabling act).
The equating to Bolshevism a hidden conspiracy by Jews was actively promoted
by Britain and the US, and fed to Eastern European populations, including
Germany, where anti-semitism was a norm not understood in present times.
Very early on, Goebbels noted in his diaries that Germany was being prepared
and propelled into a "Crusade" against the Soviet Union, and was extremely
suspicious of diplomatic deals that seemed to indicate to him that a "double
cross" was intended by the west. But that is incidental.
In conclusion, your thesis is worthy of close consideration. The equating of
Jewry with Bolshevism, and the bombarding of the Nazis with this propaganda
from the West helped reinforce the Nazi mindset of a Jewish conspiracy.
Jewish efforts to counter it, merely added fuel to the fire. And the
activities of the Church of Rome in the midst of these intrigues is highly
questionable, and until recently was a closely guarded secret.
As a footnote on Bill Donovan and Allen Dulles - and their links to Pro Deo,
is that in 1945 a certain General Ghelen, head of a German Intelligence arm,
run seperately from the Abwher, as a "black ops" outfit against the Soviet
Union, was granted immunity by US intelligence, and a deal was struck. In
exchange for the provision of information, and a continuity of operations in
Europe, the whole of Ghelen's organisation was absorbed into US intelligence
after WW2, complete with all its administration, records, training officers
etc. This organisation, together with its former Nazi officers and
operatives became the core of a new agency in the US formed by the 1948
National Security Act - its new name, the CIA . . .
Its hardly surprising therefore that there would today be many
"missing-links" unearthed in the US / NAZI connexus including Herr Bush's.
