First observation: is the characterisation of 'child abuser' as put on Papa
Gonzalez another translation for 'disciplinarian'; 'abused' because Kid
Gonzalez didn't get the Commando Rangers in their frilly dresses for his
birthday?
One thing I learned about 'luxury' is it makes a person lazy, mentally as well
as physically. Look at all the heirs to large fortunes, ones they obviously
didn't do anything to amass and see how they turned out. I am thinking of the
Gettys and the Kennedys, in particular. If everyone gots nuttin', then
everyone's pretty much equal. No miserly hoarders crouching behind locked
doors waiting for the burglar to burgle ... everything comes via the government
but not as our government does, give-aways on others' backs ...
Then we can proceed to the Kolumbine Kids, who indeed worked, but seemed to
have a lot of extra time on their hands. In countries where 'luxuries' (semi-
auto pistols, bomb-making materials, faddish trench coats, pulp fiction --
print and celluloid --, and the like) are not easily had, there's a lot more
socialisation and interpersonal interaction that seems to make even the least
off happy.
Maybe there's something to be said for being 'homeless' ... took the Buddha to
Nirvana, it did ...
