Well, we could make an argument over that presumption. As has been
pointed out, the modern-day 'abduction by outerspace aliens' phenomenon
has much in common with 'abduction by the wee folk' myths of centuries
past, not to mention similarities to incubi/succubi attacks, and also
very similar to ancient vampire legends (as opposed to Bram Stoker's
relatively modern take on the same)...

Indeed. That's what I've been suggesting. But there also could be
made an argument that altho something happens on the mential realm,
it does not necessarily mean that it does 'not take place at all'...
it only means that it is not happening within our physical realm of
reference...

But this raises the question as to WHY they are doing this.
There are any number of other scenarios that one could mentally
project to relax one's subjects, especially female subjects who
usually will NOT find an experience akin to rape either pleasurable
or relaxing. Indeed, most of the abduction accounts I've read that
have involved a sexual element, the abductee rarely if ever found
the experience either relaxing or pleasurable, and that includes
males abductees, too.
Perhaps these beings are like the aliens in the movie "Liquid Sky",
and 'get off' on the energy that is released when humans experience
orgasm...
Or maybe Earth is the institution where the sexual perverts of the
universe are sent.... :-7
