How do you know? Have you read everything else and confirmed or refuted
everything in it by scientific inquiry? Does it contain more truth than my
encyclopedia which is 21 volumes longer? Does it contain more truth than
my dictionary which it three times thicker?
And what about the part of the Bible that contradict each other? When two
things contradict each other, by definition they can't both be true.
Therefore, by definition, the Bible contains untruths. Ergo, the rest of
it bears strong critical scrutiny.
But critical scrutiny is something of which no religious text and no
religion can stand very much. Maybe that why believers so studiously avoid
it.
