Yes, and it does make sense for licensing, and certainly some prior drug
convictions should affect the granting of security clearances. It is just
questionable to me that a drug conviction of a juvenile should affect the
opportunity for further education. The part that really gets me is that
there is room to haggle. In other words, it appears that those with
influential parents will skate, while those running on their own will get the
boot. If we're going to deny funding for drug convictions, I want it to be
across the board. Thanks for the input. Prudy
