Living in a banana republic as a foreigner, I sometimes meet very interesting
people.
Some of these people are prominent politicians, bussiness people,
newsreporters, other foreigners, local mafia bosses -or workers, and other
strange people.

Well lately I remembered a guy i once met. An American in his 60's, with whom
I talked a lot with back in the late 1990's. He was a retired pilot and
smuggler of cocaine for some of the big cartels in south America, the Escobar
family most notably, and had experienced some incredible things.
At the time I knew him he was working on a project of his own, and had bought
a huge container ship, that I saw just before it was (illegally and without
any official explanation) confiscated by the state (of the banana republic).
I used to invite him home, and we would sit and confer, and normally he would
start talking about his shady past, which I would attentively listen to.
When he went home, I would take a pen and paper and write everything that he
had just told me down, for my own personal pleasure, so I would be able to
remember it.
Well lately I was thinking about him, and remembered that he told me, that he
had once flown cocaine for the mexican STATE petroleum company, PEMEX, who, he
said, was deep into the drug transportation bussiness.
The reason I write this is to ask if any of you know if there has ever
been
any official or unnofficial enlightenement about this, and if there has ever
been anything printed in the established media about it?

                                    Thanks, Joshua
