Also I believe that in some circumstances, US courts have decided they have
juristiction over crimes committed in other countries where there is no chance of a
trial happening in that country. That's not including war crimes trials either. And of
course if someone is kidnapped in a foreign country and smuggled illegally to the US,
that is legal too according to US courts.
