Mike,
Please list these "slave owning southern states." Could you possibly mean "FORMER" slave owning southern states?  And how are they different from states not in the South where slaves were owned formerly, which was just about all of them, wasn't it?  And also please explain how they have control over the government with such small populations.  Congressional districts are still based on population, aren't they? My state only has around 5 million total despite being 23rd in land area.  If these states have "control of the government" I was not aware of this and am very glad to learn of it as there are some major changes I have in mind.

Yeah, so the slave owning southern states could maintain their control of the gov't...
and I guess it works....

Just  TRY to get the following into your very narrow, disrespectful,
DISRUPTOR mind:

1.    Gore LOST.  The more they count Florida, the more he loses.
2.    The Constitution provides for an ELECTORAL COLLEGE.
3.    It was done for a REASON --  stop complaining and do some homework.
4.    A MAJORITY vote is NOT the epitome of all GOOD THINGS in the universe.
5.    Bush won.  He IS the president.  Get over it.
6.    Go, and DISRUPT no more.
