Had to laugh here - was looking up stuff on bacteria and chemical warfare and horse serums and horses plagued with HIV and ended up with Plum Island, which I set aside and just now read. Now the first story is quite good; but lo and behold the second story is by Donna J. Logan, aka Rev. Coal, aka June ........now Donna aka June - claims her parents were both dog catchers - a claim of which not to be ashamed but nothing of which to brag - it is like saying my family engages in euthenasia or they called me Dr Death...... Anyway look at the Connection re the Department of Agriculture and then June's story aka Donna J. Logan aka the Rev. Donna Coal.....she states her father was with the Connecticut Department of Agriculture? Made a nice unbelievable story........June is a jackass of all trades and master of none????? But then nobody is perfect - eh Donna? Shame shame - telliong such a big lie. SIGHTINGS Feds Want Long Island's Plum Island To Be Deadly Test Center By Leo Standora Daily News Staff Writer Link 9-22-99 Government scientists want to turn Plum Island off eastern Long Island into a testing ground for some of the most deadly microbes in the world, it was reported today. In a scenario that sounds like a cheap fright-movie script, the 840-acre, pork-chop-shaped stretch of land in the Atlantic would become an animal testing ground just a stone's throw from the Hamptons, the summer playground of the rich and famous. The Agriculture Department has asked for money to build a heavily protected lab on the island and the Clinton administration is considering it, The New York Times reported. Administration officials say the lab would be part of a new effort to combat terrorists who might use germ warfare on American crops or livestock. The island already is what scientists call "a bio-safety level three" center. That means its containment areas, which hold germs dangerous mostly to animals but sometimes to humans, have filtered air, sealed doors and negative air pressure that forces any leaked germs back into the labs. It's possible that if scientists used protective decontamination suits, like those in the movie "Outbreak," and breathe only filtered air, they could work with even more dangerous pathogens that can affect humans. Among those are the Hendra virus that afflicts horses and the Nipah virus, which has already killed more than 100 people. In the late 1970s, the New Haven Advocate ran an article about a secret govt. facility on an island in Long Island Sound that wasn't marked on any maps...the reporter began the article not believing the rumors regarding the existence of this island, and what happened if someone got too close, so he rented a boat and went searching for it himself...and described coming up to what seemed to be an uninhabited island which indeed was not shown on any map or chart, and island which, as he got closer, he saw was surrounded by a chain link fence topped with barbed wire, with 'No Trespassing' signs posted.... And as he tried to get closer, he described suddenly being surrounded by feds in highpowered boats with highpowered rifles (aimed at him), ordering him to leave the area immediately....according to the reporter, these boats just seemed to 'come out of nowhere'.... About 10 years ago, the NYC media reported a 'spill' at a govt. biowarfare research facility out on the eastern end of Long Island...
