Perhaps J2 is not a moron...thats why he can't "figure this out."
The sad thing is that "morons" can be forgiven their stupidity.
The J2's of the world are beyond redemption and forgiveness.
Overpopulation is of course relative. I guess 50 billion could exist on
the planet assuming we paved over the earth and we "recycled" the
dead a la Soylent Green.
However considering current technology, considering most people insist
on acquiring things that depend on finite resources to be produced (even if
those things were handed out for free), it is clear that the present population
and conservatively estimated population projections will have enormous
destructive impact on all aspects of the environment.
It is just plain STUPID to claim that overpopulation is relative if you factor
in any minimal acceptable quality of life.

Wrong again. The "rich" will always maintain a excellent quality of life.
But in J2's dreamworld, there will be no rich since under his socialistic,
statist dream / nightmare / world, J2 and his ilk will run things...and we just
know for sure that they are so good and so compassionate and so altruisitic
that all 100 billion of us will live in a wonderful green Eden of peace and
universal happiness (of course only after we "get rid of" the "rich.")
It is amazing (and frightening) to me that after 100 years of 100's of
millions being murdered by the J2's of this world, the Socialistic Nazis
and Communist types still poke their heads out from under their rocks
claiming moral superiority and ask us to trust them one more time.
Sometimes I really think there is NO HOPE.
