All:
Once again, in the height of emotion/rage over recent events in our nation,
I've thoroughly and completely made an ass out of myself. And while I
apologize to the group for the rash and hateful comments I made yesterday,
I, being an imperfect human being, cannot guarantee that I will not make
similar comments in the future.
Nevertheless, June and others were quite correct: my comments and attitudes
were not in agreement with my stated faith and for that I am deeply sorry,
I am sorry to have been such a poor ambassador of a belief system
predicated on love and forgiveness. I can only hope that each of you whom I
might have offended will exercise the attributes which I so poorly
demonstrated yesterday. Those more disposed to understanding the mind's
reaction to an horrendous trauma will certainly understand my angry
reaction, but I must nonetheless repent of my actions if I have any hope of
receiving forgiveness from my Maker and Redeemer.
Please forgive me, and pray to whatever God you hold dear for our country
and our world. And to those of the Islamic faith, words cannot express my
grief over the transgression I have committed against you.
