The report describes the technology developed for intracerebral implantation of multiple electrodes in the chimpanzee and subsequent multichannel radio stimulation and telemetric recording of brain activity. In conjunction with this study a photographic-histological technique has been evolved for serial analysis during stereotaxic sectioning of the brain. (Author)
