Drug mule dies after heroin sachets leak in stomach Sunday, October 20, 2002 - 2002 IranMania.com TEHRAN, Oct 19 (AFP) - A man who swallowed half a kilo (more than a pound) of heroin sachets died on a bus in western Iran when some of the drugs were released inside him, a newspaper here reported Saturday. Three days earlier, Iranian police seized 1.17 tons of various types of drugs in the southeastern province of Sistan-Baluchestan. Iranian authorities seize more than 200 tonnes of narcotics every year -- although official estimates say that is only between 10 and 15 percent of the total that enters from Afghanistan and Pakistan.
