His local show has been completely negative for almost 20 years now and I stopped listening a long time ago. Few local personalities will even talk with him and his show is limited to his cronies who never disagree with him. It is one of the highest-rated radio shows in Twin Cities history and his station is often No. 1 in the ratings, primarily due to Barnard alone. His appeal seems to be with young disenchanted wage-earners who like hearing negative things about as many people as possible.
