As to your comparison – it is like being a polish Jew is 1940, only without the death camps. The poles were all too happy to go along with the Germans, and joined in the murder with great glee.

That's because your family doesn't live on the land that's about to be grabbed by the Israelis. People whose land is grabbed by Israelis live wretched, miserable lives, and are often killed and/or have their homes destroyed, their cars stolen, their trees uprooted, their wells destroyed and their children shot down in the streets, sometimes for as minor an act as banging on a drum. It's a lot like being Polish in 1940.
